ゲーム説明

This is really two apps in one. It is a solitaire game very similar to Shisen-Sho, where you remove tiles from the board by tapping pairs that are connected by a path of up to 3 lines that run over empty space, and it is also a way to consult the ancient I Ching oracle. You can just play the game, or you can just consult the oracle, or you can combine the two.

The app contains the Richard Wilhem translation of the I Ching (and it contains no ads). Each of the 64 tiles has a unique hexagram, but the game depends on comparing the background colors (which are actually two colors with linear gradient). For each new game the tiles are shuffled and 16 new background colors are created and distributed. At any point when playing (and it could be initially without playing at all), you can ask for a reading from the oracle. This will be determined by the two last (or expected first) hexagrams removed. The random element needed for a reading is provided by 1. the initial shuffling of the tiles, 2. the state of the game, and 3. the derivation of the moving lines from the differences between the two hexagrams.

The play is timed, so you can beat your own record for clearing the board. When the record has become practically unbeatable, it can be reset for another session via a button on the Help page. However the timer stops and no record is possible when you touch the Hint button (but it keeps going for the Undo button). If there are no more moves but there are tiles still on the board, the background colors are grayed out, and again the timer stops without a record possibility.
