2K GAMESが開発を行なっているプレイステーション3/Xbox 360向けFPS（一人称視点シューティング）ソフト『BioShock 2』。同タイトルの日本語版が、ディースリーパブリッシャーから2010年3月4日（木）に発売される。
『BioShock 2』は、海底都市「ラプチャー」を舞台に、人体改造が施された敵と戦っていくFPS作品『BioShock』の続編にあたる作品。
本作では、前作から10年後の「ラプチャー」を舞台としたストーリーが描かれる。プレイヤーは『BioShock』で敵キャラクタとして登場した「ビッグダディ」となり、自らが生き残るために「ラプチャー」の住人達と戦いを繰り広げていく。

『BioShock 2』は『BioShock』の基本システムをベースとしつつ、両手に異なる武器をそれぞれ持つことが可能になるなどの新要素を盛り込んでいる。ほかにも、プレイ中に獲得したアイテムによるキャラクタカスタマイズといったやり込み要素も収録されている。
また本作では、『BioShock』で描かれた時代からさらに過去の「ラプチャー」の世界を体感できるマルチプレイヤーモードが用意される。
こちらでは、プレイヤーが「ラプチャー」において様々な薬品を取り扱っている企業「シンクレア・ソリューションズ」の商品テスターとなり、「ラプチャー」が崩壊していく瞬間の時代を戦っていく。
